Summary

AMG Integrated Healthcare Management is seeking a full-time Inpatient Hospital Billing Specialist for the Corporate office.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Verify Patient Insurance Benefits
  • Enter Patient Demographics
  • Reviews, verifies, and submits insurance claims.
  • Follows-up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid properly and in a timely manner.
  • Investigate insurance claims that have received no response and resubmit if necessary.
  • Processes correspondence from Third Party Payors and responds to requests.
  • Claim rejection handling.
  • Filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Posting Payments from Insurance Carriers
  • Posting Payments from Patients
  • Assist patients with claim questions and account balances
  • Update insurance and demographics
  • Adhere to production and quality goals
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Job Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent required
  • Two or more years’ experience in Inpatient Hospital Billing
  • LTAC Hospital knowledge is a plus
  • Be familiar and experienced with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem solving, detail oriented, strong communication and organization skills are a must
