Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital (LPRH) is a state of the art, free-standing, thirty-two-bed specialty hospital, located in the heart of Lafayette, LA, directly behind The Heart Hospital of Lafayette and Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital, off Kaliste Saloom Road.

Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital exists to provide extended, intensive rehabilitation that helps patients recover a higher degree of mobility and independence. Our multi-disciplinary team is led by a physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. The physician’s team is composed of therapists, nurses, case managers, and a dietician. This team will create a treatment plan specifically and personally tailored to meet each patient’s unique challenges and goals, so they can restore their function and independence.

Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital is currently seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with experience in physical rehabilitation environment or post-acute continuum, to join our team. The CEO is responsible for the entire scope of daily operations within the hospital facility and ensuring the hospital staff provides exceptional quality care and a positive patient experience. She/he ensures all department heads are using effective management of financial, human, and informational resources. The CEO ensures the hospital is at all times compliant with the rules and regulations of current State and Federal guidelines, while always staying abreast of new regulations in licensure and reimbursements. She/he attracts and retains physicians and collaborates with medical staff to establish streamlined admitting and referral processes fostering the highest level of rehab care. The CEO exhibits strong communication, presentation and listening skills to ensure facility-wide collaboration and coordination, especially with physicians, employees and the community. She/he builds and leverages the expertise and skills of strategic alliances both inside and outside the organization to create business opportunities and execute business strategies. She/he negotiates and presents contracts to the hospital’s corporate office. The develop and supervise all budgets and manage overall financial operations, working closely with Corporate Operations Team Members in concert supporting facility needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Hospital administrative leadership experience in post-acute continuum or rehabilitation environment.
  • Minimum of five years management experience in a health care related field.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Clinical and Administrative Management experience a plus
  • Passion for superior clinical outcomes/programs, superior patient satisfaction and partner relationships required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
