AMG, Integrated Healthcare Management (AMG Corporate) is seeking a Clinical Director of Payor Relations. The Clinical Director of Payor Relations provides support for Admission Coordinators, Case Managers, Hospital CEOs, and the corporate office team in relation to commercial pre-certs, out of network negotiations, letters of agreement, expedited appeals and workers compensation letters of agreement for AMG HealthCare. The Clinical Director of Payor Relations also serves as a focal point for questions related to all Managed care referrals, admissions and denials. Directly responsible for increasing managed care conversion rate in assigned hospitals and the company. The Clinical Director of Payor Relations works in concert with the Corporate Operations Team, Billing Department and facility Admin Teams to align managed care hospital opportunities and corporate support services with the company’s overall Mission, Vision and Values to be a leading and respected healthcare system. This position is located in Lafayette, LA.

Job Requirements

  • Clinical Degree required
  • Requires a strong Managed Care and Case Management background with at least 5 years’ experience in the Post-Acute setting.
  • A strong background in pre-certification, out of network negotiations, expedited appeals and LTAC and IRF criteria.
  • Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written, verbal and electronic communication positively.
  • Strong Knowledge of managed care payors.
  • Strong Knowledge of Letters of Agreements.
  •  Strong Knowledge of Workers Compensation.
  • Strong Knowledge of expedited appeal process.
