Summary

AMG, Integrated Healthcare Management is seeking a Corporate PRN Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience.  The Corporate Pharmacist will be responsible for working on a hospital pharmacy policy project surrounding review or four pharmacy policy sources for policy determination and development. Extensive knowledge of and experience hospital pharmacy policies is essential to this position. This position is based out of Lafayette, Louisiana and reports to the Corporate Vice President of Clinical Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pharmacist should have a basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy calculations, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of administration in matters concerning policies and procedures of a hospital pharmacy, purchasing, licenses and prescription pricing.
  • Ensure the pharmacy policies are developed in accordance with accepted ethical and professional standards of Board of Pharmacy and/or other authorized local, state, or federal agency.
  • Establishes specifications for procuring, maintaining, and storing drugs (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and biologicals) and devices
  • Defines a system for ordering, controlling, and distributing drugs and devices.

Job Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist License in state of employment.
  • Ten years plus of previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience in developing hospital pharmacy policies with accepted ethical and professional standards of Board of Pharmacy and/or other authorized local, state, or federal agency.
  • Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
