Summary

Acadiana Management Group, LLC dba AMG- Integrated Healthcare Management (AMG), an employee-owned company, is hiring a full-time Infrastructure Engineer. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and support of all enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and backup/recovery operations. This role ensures AMG’s infrastructure is secure, resilient, scalable, and high-performing, while meeting or exceeding service level objectives. This position is located in Lafayette, LA and is not a remote position.

Duties:

  • Infrastructure Engineering & Operations

o   Design, deploy, and maintain core infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, and networking components

o   Lead initiatives to improve automation, standardization, and system efficiency

o   Monitor real-time system performance and proactively prevent disruptions and degradation

  • System Administration & Monitoring

o   Administer and optimize Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server OS, and other core services

o   Ensure patching and update management across servers and endpoints

o   Maintain accurate documentation and inventory

  • Cloud & Virtualization Management

o   Implement and manage cloud services (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud integrations

o   Maintain and optimize VMware and virtualization environments

  • Backup, Disaster Recovery & Security

o   Manage and validate enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions

o   Enforce security best practices for systems, storage, and networks

  • Service Continuity & Incident Management

o   Act as final escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents

o   Drive root cause analysis and long-term resolution of recurring problems

  • Change & Configuration Management

o   Coordinate and implement infrastructure changes with minimal impact

o   Implement and maintain compliance with change control processes

  • Project Participation

o   Collaborate on infrastructure-related projects and technology rollouts

o   Recommend enhancements based on emerging technologies and business needs

  • Technical Support & Documentation

o   Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues

o   Contribute to the internal knowledge base and maintain system documentation

  • Professional Development

o   Stay current with industry trends and technologies through self-learning and formal training

Job Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Informatics, or related field

·         Five or more years’ experience in a systems administration or engineering position

·         Proven experience with enterprise infrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting

·         Project management experience preferred

·         Expert-level knowledge of server, storage, and virtualization platforms (Dell and VMware preferred)

·         Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems (10+, Server 2016+) and Active Directory

·         Strong understanding of networking and security technologies (Cisco & Meraki preferred)

·         Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, etc.)

·         Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and cloud-based identity services (Entra ID, Exchange Online)

·         Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)

·         Working knowledge of telephony protocols and phone systems (SIP, Cisco Call Manager, etc.)

·         Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools

·         Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

·         Strong verbal/written communication and documentation abilities

·         Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
