AMG Specialty Hospital – Zachary is offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus* for a Full Time Nurse Manager (RN)!
The Nurse Manager is a member of the administrative team of our facility and as such participates in decision-making, policy determination, and planning and operations of the hospital. She/he has the responsibility for the management of all nursing practices. The Nurse Manager must have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts and current leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts and the ability to participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving nursing care.
This position requires responsibility for planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the needs of the hospital. It also provides education to medical staff, hospital staff and the Governing Body, as well as facilitates performance improvement activities and CQI activities throughout the hospital. This department is also to be used as a resource person to the administrative team, department managers and medical staff. Responsible for all regulatory body surveys including State Licensing Review and CMS Validation surveys. Responsible for risk evaluation and coordination of corrective action implementation related to risk issues. Provide intervention and education related to risk management issues to promote safe work practices and quality care and services in an environment that is beneficial to the safety, health and well being of all patients, visitors and hospital staff. Coordinates risk programs with all hospital departments, administration and the legal risk manager. Report real and potential risk situations to the Governing Body, medical staff, administration, hospital departments and committees, as appropriate. Responsible for establishing and monitoring methods to avoid, eliminate and/or reduce risk situations associated with the provision of patient care and services.
The Nurse Manager is a qualified individual with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of healthcare associated infections (HAIs), federal and state regulations. He/She is responsible for the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) among patients and personnel. By authority of the Infection Control Committee, she/he may institute collection of cultures and initiate appropriate isolation precautions. She/He is responsible for assisting with in-service programs related to infection prevention and control. Concerning Employee Health, he/she is responsible for attending to all employee work related injuries and recommending appropriate action, as well as communicating with the risk manager any trends in the workplace.
*$5,000- Sign-On Bonus is offered as per the terms of an Employment Assistance Agreement with a 2-year minimum commitment.
