Acadiana Management Group (AMG Corporate) is seeking a full-time junior to mid-level Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of servers, storage, networks, and systems, and for ensuring that all services are reliable and secure.


  • Server & System Management – Participates in the sizing, deployment, and maintenance of all servers, storage, and associated core systems to meet business requirements
  • Network Management – Participates in the implementation and maintenance of network and security hardware, software, and services
  • Backup & DR – Maintains all backup and recovery operations as part of AMG’s DR strategy, ensuring that policies and objectives are being met
  • Ticket Management – Processes and documents requests and issues along with steps to recreate in the IT Service Management system according to established SLAs. Monitors and maintains own ticket queue and prioritizes tickets as needed to ensure they are processed in a timely fashion
  • Technical Support – Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to accounts, PCs, network, circuits, software, peripherals, and A/V equipment. Performs desk-side support for users and locations as needed. Serves as 2nd level of support for issues escalated from other Service Desk personnel
  • Operations Monitoring – Monitors and analyzes real-time statistics and alerts to ensure maximum service availability and performance. Addresses issues and proactively takes measures to avoid unplanned degradation and/or disruption of services.
  • Update Management – Reviews and deploys security updates and enhancements to all systems on a regular basis. Quickly deploys critical updates for discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Account Management – Creates, maintains and decommissions user accounts, authorizations and mailboxes within Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
  • Problem Management – Identifies recurring issues and works with other staff as appropriate to determine root cause and resolve
  • System Documentation – Creates and maintains detailed documentation for all deployed systems and services. Maintains an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all hardware and software.
  • Inventory Management – Actively manages inventory items and ensures compliance with hardware and software licensing
  • Knowledgebase Management – Creates and maintains thorough knowledgebase documentation for requests, issues and known errors
  • Projects – Works with other personnel on projects for new technology and initiatives.

Job Requirements

Position Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor or Associate’s degree in MIS, Informatics, or related field (Bachelor preferred)
  • Two or more years’ experience in a Service Desk or Systems Administration-related position.
  • Expert-level knowledge of end user hardware, especially desktops, laptops, and common peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of server, storage, and virtualization platforms (Dell and VMware preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems (7-10, Server 2016+), Microsoft Office (2016+) and common desktop applications
  • Strong working knowledge of networking and VoIP technologies (Cisco preferred)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Office 365 experience preferred (Azure AD, Exchange Online)
  • Public cloud experience preferred (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with IT Service Management processes and methodologies preferred (ITIL, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
