Long Term Acute Care Hospitals and Physical Rehabilitation Hospitals

Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs) – ICU-level Care for
a Longer Period of Time

These facilities offer extended acute care following your initial hospital stay. Due to the nature of the conditions we treat, the average length of stay for our patients is 25 days (varies by conditions). In order to treat medically complex patients, we offer an assortment of services, including one to three hours of rehabilitation therapies per day.

  • Wound Care
  • Respiratory Care
  • Renal Care
  • Dietary & Nutritional Care
  • Nursing Services
  • Discharge Planning
  • Rehabilitation Therapies (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy)
Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals (IRFs) – Intensive Physical Rehabilitation

In our IRFs, we also offer acute care and therapy, but our patients are further along in their recovery than patients at a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. Thus, our patients focus more on intense rehabilitation therapies.

  • Stroke Care
  • Amputee Therapy
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation
  • Orthopedic Care
  • Dietary & Nutritional Care
  • Nursing Services
  • Discharge Planning
  • Rehabilitation Therapies (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy)

These numbers reveal a lot about our commitment.

Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH) VS. Physical Rehabilitation Hospitals (IRF)

Patients who need a high-level of medical attention and intense services over an extended amount of time need a place to heal. Normal, everyday hospitals aren’t set up to provide extended critical care, but our Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs) and our Physical Rehabilitation Hospitals (IRFs) are well-suited for the job.
