Extended, Extensive Rehabilitation When You or Your Loved One Need to Recover

In order to fully recover from some health issue and regain at-home independence, many times, you or your loved one will need extended care and intensive rehabilitation.

Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital exists to provide extended, intensive rehabilitation that helps you or your loved one recover a higher degree of mobility and independence.

Our multi-disciplinary team is led by a physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. The physician’s team is composed of therapists, nurses, case managers, and a dietician. This team will create a treatment plan specifically and personally tailored to meet your unique challenges and goals, so you can restore your function and independence.

With 16 private rooms and 8 semi-private family suites, our patients recover in comfort.  Family involvement is a big part of the healing and recovery process. With afternoon visitation hours, family and friends are encouraged and welcomed to visit.

The Numbers

Unlike a skilled nursing facility (SNF), our physical rehabilitation hospital provides the same level of care you receive in a traditional hospital. We offer a high nurse-to-patient ratio with more nursing hours per day, a minimum of 3 hours per day of therapy, private rooms, and access to specialists. At Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital, you could receive a higher quality of care than in a SNF, so you can regain functional independence. Plus, since we are a physical rehabilitation hospital, your doctors will be around daily to ensure your recovery stays on track.
