AMG Specialty Hospital – Muncie Campus is seeking a Full Time Assistant Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO), Registered Nurse, RN who is a member of the Administrative Team of our facilities and as such participates in decision-making, policy determination, and planning and operations of the hospital. She/he supports the responsibility for the management of all nursing education practices, quality, risk management, and performance improvement. The ACCO must have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts and current leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts and  supports participation in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving nursing care.

Qualified applicants must have Infection Control and Quality experience!  She/He is responsible for the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) among patients and personnel.  By authority of the Infection Control Committee, she/he may institute collection of cultures and initiate appropriate isolation precautions.  She/He is responsible for assisting with in-service programs related to infection prevention and control.  Concerning Employee Health, he/she is responsible for attending to all employee work related injuries and recommending appropriate action, as well as communicating with the risk manager any trends in the workplace.  He/She is responsible for pre-employment medical screening tests, as well as annual recuring screens.  Also, he/she serves as a liaison to the worker’s compensation carrier for our hospital.  He/She is responsible for development and implementation of the hospital’s Utilization Review plan.

Job Requirements

  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Minimum of two years critical care experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability with a minimum of two-four years’ experience in nursing administration.
  • Current ACLS
  • Current BLS
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Infection Control and Quality experience is required!
