Mr. Bonilla is a native of San Francisco, California. Tony moved to Houston, Texas at a young age and worked towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston. Subsequently, he went on to receive a Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston. Mr. Bonilla began working in the post-acute arena in 2009, and went on to be appointed as CEO for three different Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals in the Houston area between 2014 and 2018.
Mr. Bonilla joined the AMG team in 2018 as the Chief Executive Officer for North Alabama Specialty Hospital in Athens, Alabama. Mr. Bonilla spent the next three and half years focusing on provider relations, cost control, and business development. In January of 2022, Mr. Bonilla transitioned to the Interim CEO position at AMG Specialty Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. After a six-month tenure with a focus on retention and recruitment, Mr. Bonilla is proud to join the AMG Corporate team as the Vice President of Hospital Operations, in which he will continue to focus on provider relations and business development, as well as staff retention and enhancement.
Outside the office you will likely find Mr. Bonilla traveling, attending live sporting events and concerts, as well as seeking out eclectic food scenes. When home, Mr. Bonilla is generally in the kitchen cooking up as many new and classic concoctions as possible.
